VIA MEDIA was founded by Robert Sokol in 1998 after what he calls his "early mid-life crisis." With two decades of finance and operations management experience in the nonprofit, software and television sectors on his résumé, Robert sought to bring his creative energies to the fore. The initial service offerings were ambitiously vast, running the gamut from talent coordination to public relations. The need for some emergency design doctoring on early event management projects opened the door to what is now the core of our service offerings.

Our name comes from the Latin phrase for "the middle way" and we offer our clients a place on the creative services continuum that rests confortably between the extremes of DIY burnout and budget-breaking retainers. Over the last decade we have served a wide array of businesses, organizations and professional individuals, with extensive work in the arts, hospitality, nonprofit and LGBT sectors.
